In this area the Bannabikira sisters are called to work with women’s groups in clubs, teach in vocational schools, to reach out to children and people with disabilities such as the deaf and mute,
Our Mission
The Bannabikira (Daughters of Mary) Sisters are called and sent to spread the kingdom of God through evangelization of all people of God in Uganda and beyond.
How do we spread God’s kingdom through evangelization? We evangelize through the three ministries of our apostolic life.

Over the 100 years of existence, the Bannabikra taught Catholic Church Catechism to children from various backgrounds. A Munnabikira Sister cannot walk any street of Uganda’s cities and towns without being reminded by children, youths, old people and both men and women of prominence that he or she was instructed by Bannabikira Sisters.
